Larry was raised in Saskatchewan and attended the University of Saskatchewan where he studied business. His health­care leadership career involved senior management positions in for-profit long term care, acute care hospitals, academic medical centers, large health regions, health associations and recently in health training with organizations in the three western provinces. For over 30 years he reported directly to governing boards.

Larry was also very involved in guiding organizations as a member .of their governing boards in public health, Blue Cross1 national and provincial health professional organizations and correction services. He was appointed to an Alberta tri-partite workplace health and safety forum, the Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board and the B.C. Treaty Negotiations Advisory Committee. He was actively involved with the Canadian Council on Health Systems Accreditation including acting as a surveyor in accreditation surveys.

Larry and his wife Darleen live in the White Rock - South Surrey area where they enjoy long walks, he plays at golf, skis infrequently and is very active in Rotary International.
