Sassy Awards 2011-2017 from Allan Baedak on Vimeo.

The Sassy Awards - Service Above Self Surrey Youth - is Rotary’s way to celebrate and honour the fantastic youth in Surrey and White Rock.  By recognizing exceptional youth, we are investing in the future leaders and key contributors in our community.

The 8th annual Sassy event will take place on May 17 at the Surrey City Hall Centre Stage. We award seven $1,000 bursaries along with seven  $500 donations that the award recipient presents to the charity of their choice, at the event. Adding excitement to the night, we will also draw for a ‘Friends of Sassy’ $1,000 bursary from all the outstanding runner up nominees. The red carpet evening showcases local youth talent and is a very fun and uplifting night.

I am reaching out to you as chair of our ‘Friends of Sassy’ sponsorship effort.  ‘Friends of Sassy’ sponsorships go towards funding nominee tickets to the show and the Friends of Sassy bursary.  Please see the attached donor form for donation levels and benefits.

The event is not a fundraiser - it is an awareness raiser. Every penny goes into the show and youth programs that continue to nurture young people and the concept of service above self, which is the backbone of what Rotary stands for.
