Jim Binden from Peace Arch Hospital Foundation receiving cheque for $20,785. Stephanie Beck gave her regrets for not being present.
New emergency room fundraising is completed.
Major capital projects at the moment – Residential care facility – facility open by 2020 – groundbreaking by end of year.
Construction of 5 new operating suites at the hospital.
Two other initiatives with thepPhysical literacy program – supporting the idea of wellness and healthy living and the building of an “Allabilitie Park”.
Jim and Larry update on golf tournament. Major changes to golf tournament – no calcutta and it is being held at Morgan Creek. Coming up soon – 9 weeks and counting! Minimum of 136 golfers for the Texas Scramble. Golf day – bag drop being handled by Morgan Creek so will need less volunteers in previous years. Wine board – so bring your bottles of wine. Stan C coordinating. 12 – 15 teams already signed up – if you know of a team let Doug B or Larry W know. Linda spoke to sponsorship. $32000 in committed sponsor dollars and $7000 in kind. Silent Auction prizes for during dinner – Scott Ellis is coordinating.
Price change this year is to $395 includes tax receipt for approx ½. Reduced rate for foursome $1500 for friendly foursome and $2000 for corporate team.
